I have heard if you put straight pipes on your bike that wind could blow up the pipe and warp the valves or something like that.. Any info on this to anyone's knowledge? I want the straightpipe sound, I love my friend's harleys and I want the sound, I've done the Hartman mod and it's just not quite enough... I guess it's the sound having to go through the chambers still I suppose. My pipe is gutted plus the hartman mod.. I have seen the pipe that I want here... http://www.raask.se/ind-eng.htm (go to drag pipes on the left, then find ls savage on the right) but they are kind of high... I will save up regardless but I know people that can make these pipes probably. Anyhow, I can get baffles or make one either way, but do they have to be in there at all? Any info would be great...
